3 years ago my world was rocked by a cancer diagnosis at the age of 40, at my very first mammogram. While beautiful in their own right, the scars left by my surgeries are a constant reminder of that out-of-control feeling.
Large art on my body was not something I had ever pictured for myself, but life’s journey takes wonderful, terrifying, sad and exciting turns. When I saw flowers instead of a scar I cried and felt lighter.
